WHO IS BEHIND RESEARCH ADVISER?
Research Adviser is a CAUDIT Service in partnership with AeRO and Australian Universities.
WHAT SERVICES DOES RESEARCH ADVISER PROVIDE?
Research Adviser provides three important services:
1. Services - a national catalogue of Australian Research Services, initiatives, projects and programs
2. Knowledge - an online knowledge base to support those services consumed by Australian Researchers
3. Support - an online support service where a researcher using a service can seek help from an expert
RESEARCH ADVISER IS MUCH MORE THAN AN ONLINE SERVICE CATALOGUE:
Service Requests - Built into Research Adviser is a Service Request capability which allows users to request access to new services. In this way, providers are able to track, monitor and report on service usage and support.
Research Adviser users can request a new Virtual Machine (VM) from the National Server Program (NSP) operated as part of the NeCTAR Program.
Knowledge Centre – Research Adviser is also a community led self-service knowledge centre for Australian Research Services.
Research Adviser users if they are experience an issue with an existing service can use the self-service knowledge centre to assist them resolve their issue. Available 24/7 the knowledge-base is maintained by the service provider responsible for the service being consumed by users. In this way, the information is reliable, up-to-date and instantly available. This also reduces the number of direct support requests for help.
Support – Research Adviser has an advance ticketing system known as the The Ticketing Hub (TTH).
The ticketing hub allows users to log a ticket requesting help.
For Services Providers, The Ticketing Hub shows the number of tickets logged, the time it took to process the ticket, the class and type of support request – valuable information require to ensure ongoing funding and staffing requirements.
Research Adviser is a cloud based service as result each university and service provider can have their own queue with the freedom to establish virtual resolution teams across state, national and international boundaries.
